Greetings, and welcome to my apothecary. I am Parthenia Myers, a 6th generation grower, a chef, forager, plant medicine maker and herbalist. I'm from the small coastal town of St. Mary's, Georgia, and I come from a family of farmers and earth keepers deeply rooted in their Gullah Geechee culture. I am the founder of Mystic Roots, a portal for Ancestral ways of BEING that promotes a holistic way of life and a sacred connection to the earth via land cultivation, plant based cuisine, and a return to folk medicine.

In 2013 I obtained my Urban Agriculture Certification through the HABESHA Works program and spent the next 7 years in Atlanta, GA co-managing several different urban farm sites in the city.

I now reside on Sapelo Island where I continue to cultivate the land and work on the Mystic Roots Medicinal Herb Farm and Apothecary. A beautiful space that we've been cultivating for the last 3 years, with plans to expand our growing operation. I practice in the folk medicine tradition, working closely with the wild plants that grow in this bio-region.

You can find me on the full moon, seeking out the wild spaces of my island home in search of sacred plant medicine.
